Welcome to my World Race Blog!

I have committed to be a racer for the 2022 Word Race Gap Year Outreach Team. I am from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, born and raised. I have grown up with a private Christian education, and I was a competitive gymnast through freshman year of high school. I am the youngest of 6 children with three older sisters and two brothers. Two of my siblings were adopted from Uganda, so I have grown up knowing the culture of a third world country and have been blessed to be able to visit several times. This is perhaps where my love of missions started. Every time I go, I always want more. More of their joy. More of their hospitality. More of the Holy Spirit who is so evident in their lives. I just want to love the Lord more by serving and loving on His people all over the world.ย

This past summer, 2021, the Lord showed me exactly what I am supposed to do after senior year. Go around the world on a mission to love Him and love others. He made it so undeniably clear that I knew if I did anything else, it would be disobedience. Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Because God is so good, as I sought Him, He aligned my will with His, and He has been growing me, preparing me for exactly what He has for me. I am living proof that "God does not call the prepared, but He prepares the called." It is scary to be called into something of the unknown, but it is all only orchestrated by God. I have been called, and I will obey because "His ways are higher than mine" (Isaiah 55:8). I could not be more excited for the opportunity to see the world, serve others, love those who God puts in front of me, and build lifelong relationships.ย
